A driver who crashed at high speed into a house in east Oakland early this morning was likely under the influence of Alcohol, a California Highway Patrol Officer said.
CHP officers reportedly spotted a vehicle traveling at excessive speed near Arthur Street and 78th Avenue at around 1:30 a.m., CHP Officer Jonathan Short said.

Long Beach - A trucker was injured today when a big rig hauling scrap metal overturned on a transition road from the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway to the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway in Long Beach.
The accident was reported about 10:30 a.m., said California Highway Patrol Officer Ed Jacobs.
